Advertising Women of Excellence Party

October 3, 2007

Honorees Shawn Lacy, Executive Producer & Co-Founder, Biscuit Filmworks, and Jennifer Golub, Director of Broadcast Content Production, Cutwater San Francisco, were on hand to take their bows, sip free drinks and have their rings kissed by the throng of sales reps, directors, editors and creative types clogging the crowded and coal mine dark Retreat bar in Manhattan’s Flatiron district.

The subject of the evening? “Which party to go on to next ?” Yes, Advertising Week in NYC again provided the locals with plenty of party options - offered up by fawning and wild eyed vendors of every stripe.

CannesFringe USA caught up with Regina Ebel, EVP Director of TV Production, BBDO NY, to discuss the need for more diversity in the Ad biz and what she and her company were doing about it. Ebel received last years’ inaugural Advertising Women of Excellence honours.

Unfortunately Mary Baglivo, CEO & Worldwide Marketing Director, Saatchi & Saatchi - also on this year’s list - was travelling and could not attend.

Jonathan Verk, Publisher of ‘Boards attempted to quiet the rabble in order to say a few words in honour of the 2007 Advertising Women of Excellence but the half bagged mass would have none of that.

Needless to say, a splendid time was had by all.
